Greetings, Survivors and Caregivers! I’m doing something different this time for your self-healing!

  1. I’m providing a script that you can record to help yourself heal body, mind, and spirit by hearing the words in your own voice. I hope it is helpful.
  2. I’ll also provide a link to a version I recorded in case you prefer to listen to it. One has no music – just the narration; another has music in the background. To find them, scroll waaa-a-a-ay down!.

Also, if you don’t want to or can’t record it, you can use another link I’m providing that saved the meditation as a Word document. Word has a feature that lets you hear a document being read aloud by your choice of a male or female voice (courtesy of AI, of course). Here’s how to access that.

Open the document and then have the system “Read Aloud” (which is found under the Review tab in Word). It won’t be as good as hearing your voice, but it will enable you to listen and follow the guidance.

Self-Healing Meditation ~ A Guided Journey Into Vibrant Wellness


Preparing Your Space for Self-Healing

Welcome to this healing meditation, designed for those navigating profound health challenges as patients or caregivers.

As a hypnotherapist, I intend to guide you gently into a deep state of relaxation, helping you awaken every cell of your being to its natural, vibrant wholeness. Through soothing imagery and carefully chosen words, this self-healing meditation will support your mind, heart, and every part of you in remembering what it feels like to be completely well, energized, and alive.

  1. Find a quiet, comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed. Turn off your phone and other devices that are not playing your recording. If need be, close the door to keep pets and family outside the room until you have finished the meditation.
  2. Commit to paying full attention to your self-care throughout this meditation. You deserve the break and the relief from all other thoughts and duties.

  1. When you record the self-healing meditation, you can skip the Introduction above and any of the titles below that do not help guide the meditation. (Some of the titles were inserted only because this WordPress blog requires them.)
  2. I suggest reading the entire script aloud before recording it to decide if it suits your needs in terms of the language used. If a word is hard to pronounce or causes discomfort because it’s too formal or too unlike anything you would say, you may change it. Select what you want to say and change the wording if there are better choices for how you think and talk. But be sure NOT to include negative words, like “can’t,” “don’t,” etc.
  3. To bring self-healing into the present (and no longer think of it as vaguely possible in the future), DO keep the word “NOW” wherever you find it in the script.

Now, We’re Going to Enter Deep Self-Healing Relaxation …

Rest onto a chair or bed, allowing your body to rest in whatever position feels most supportive for self-healing.

If you can, sit with your spine erect and your feet flat on the floor.

If you are lying down, try to keep your spine straight. Your arms and legs may be straight or, with the soles of the feet together, let your knees fall apart, forming a diamond shape.

Close the tip of your index finger (forefinger) to the tip of your thumb for the deepest breathing, but don’t worry if they come apart.

That finger position (called a “mudra”) helps you breathe the most deeply, even when you are not concentrating on breathing. But, we want you to concentrate on relaxing, not holding a specific position. The focus is to open our spirits to the possibility of wellness.

Now, gently close your eyes and begin to notice your breath.

Take in a slow, deep breath … filling your lungs with air … holding that gentle fullness for a moment … and then exhale, releasing all tension. Let any worries or discomfort flow out with every breath as we proceed.

Repeat—inhale deeply … hold … and exhale, relaxing one by one – your forehead … eyes … shoulders … abdomen … and hips. As they soften, all your organs, tissues, and muscles loosen with relief.

With each breath, you sink farther into relaxation—like a pebble peacefully sinking into a soft riverbed.


Now, We’ll do a Slow, Mindful Body Scan ~ from Head to Toe

Now, begin your self-healing again by turning your attention to the very top of your head. With each soft, slow breath, imagine a gentle wave of warm relaxation sweeping over your scalp, relaxing every muscle and smoothing away every line of tension. Feel this soothing sensation flow across your forehead, smoothing your brow.

Your eyelids become heavier and more at ease, closing in peaceful surrender. In your imagination, it is as if they were warmed by the sun while you relax with an upturned face, basking in its rays without a care in the world.

Allow the sensation of relaxation to move to the tiny muscles around your eyes, letting them soften. All tension is drifting away now. Let your eyes rest back and downward, safe and resting, as there is no work for them to do at this moment.

Feel your cheeks slacken; unclench your jaw. Allow your tongue to rest upward against the roof of your mouth. If your teeth are touching, allow a little space.

Imagine all the muscles of your face and head resting backward and downward without the strain of holding an expression. All eyes are closed. No one is watching. Let your face relax completely.

At the same time, let the brain sink into quiet ease. There is no work for it to do now except to follow this self-healing meditation.


Let’s Move Now to the Throat – the Seat of Communications

Now, relax your neck – put your attention on the muscles along the sides … and the back … and the front of your throat. Let every bit of tightness be released with each breath. With this release, imagine you are freeing your voice, your truth, and your ability to express yourself with confidence and comfort.

With every breath, imagine that you also are freeing your lymph fluid, which now flows freely throughout your whole body, removing all toxins and blockages … swimming away any and all obstacles to your Perfect Health every step along the way as we continue.


Now, Let the Relaxation Proceed Throughout Your Body, Step by Step, in This Self-Healing Meditation

Let this sensation travel to your shoulders. Picture all burdens ~ physical, mental, spiritual, or emotional ~ falling off your shoulders, sliding down your arms, and draining away. Your shoulders relax and drop, as your chest opens slightly, inviting in more air, more comfort.

Feel the relaxation move to your arms ~ upper arms, elbows, forearms ~ flowing steadily down, loosening, lightening, until it reaches your wrists and hands. Each finger relaxes ~  any tightness subsides, and your hands feel pleasantly heavy and warm.

Now guide your awareness to your chest and heart center. Your Soul surrounds you with loving kindness. It can heal you, and you are attuning to it now. With each breath, sense your lungs expanding effortlessly and your heart beating with calm regularity. Allow your heart to feel comforted, supported, and light, knowing that, here and now, there is nothing you need to do except allow the healing energies to envelop you.

Let the warm feeling of relaxation and release move into your abdomen. Soften your belly; release all tension from the stomach, intestines, and internal organs. Imagine every organ awash in healing energy, gently releasing toxins and stress—welcoming vitality.

Feel this melting relaxation travel into your back ~ from your upper back, shoulder blades, and mid-back, to your lower back. Slowly, with each soothing breath … vertebrae by vertebrae … your back releases stored pressure. Imagine any discomfort dissolving, replaced by gentle warmth and support.

Continuing Downward…

As you move this healing energy, let it flow along with your awareness to your hips and pelvis. These foundations of your body absorb the swirling healing streams and release stored emotional and physical pain. Allow any tightness, discomfort, or fatigue held there to drain away. Your hips and pelvis are cradled in support throughout this meditation.

Now, travel this unwinding sensation down your thighs ~ front, back, and sides ~ muscles relaxing deeply. Let this wave reach your knees, comforting and smoothing away tension. Down into your calves and shins, every fiber softens, letting go of burdens and fatigue.

You can sense how the flow now reaches your ankles, unlocking these crucial joints, and then pouring into your feet ~ the tops, the soles, the heels, the toes.

Imagine all remaining tension streaming down your body and out through the soles of your feet, leaving you renewed.


Briefly Going Deeper: to Our Organs and Inner Systems: Releasing Tension, Inviting Ease

With your body much more relaxed now, bring your mind’s gentle focus to your internal organs and related systems ~ thanking your lungs and bronchial system ~

your heart, veins, and arteries ~

the stomach and entire digestive system ~

the liver, kidneys, gall bladder,  pancreas, ~  your brain and all glands.

Imagine each organ and its entire system functioning perfectly –  bathed in golden light, working with perfect ease and efficiency – letting go of any toxins, stress, or discomfort, inviting perfect ease and health.

As you put your attention first on your heart, then feel or imagine your circulatory system delivering healing warmth with every heartbeat. Your muscles, bones, and nerves release any stored discord. Picture your lymphatic system gently carrying away all that is no longer needed, and every cell in your body is now basking in relaxation and readiness to heal.


Let Us Now Begin the Rest of the Self-Healing Meditation Journey

Now that every part of your body is deeply at ease, you are ready to let your mind relax even further. You don’t have to focus. You can let your mind go blank. Any thoughts you have can come in and go out – evaporating and leaving your mind in peaceful surrender.

In a moment, I will begin a gentle countdown from 1 to 10. With each number, you will feel yourself sinking deeper into a state of comfort, safety, and profound relaxation.

  1. Beginning to drift …
  2. Body and mind loosening even more …
  3. You are feeling calm in this moment – Your breath is slow and deepening, smooth and steady …
  4. Muscles and organs are perfectly at ease … mind is quiet …
  5. Doubly relaxed now, as if floating peacefully …
  6. Every cell soaked in tranquility …
  7. Deeper, drifting, knowing you are safe and supported …
  8. With every breath, letting go even more, comfort increasing …
  9. Mind and body sink into gentle harmony …
  10. Now, you are completely relaxed … deeply peaceful … body and mind are quiet and clear.

You are now as relaxed as you could ever wish to be – quietly eager to receive the healing journey that is about to begin. All that you need is within you, and you are ready to move forward into vibrant well-being.


Visualizing Complete Wellness

In this peaceful state, imagine yourself in a place that feels utterly safe and welcoming. Perhaps, it is a sunlit garden, a quiet forest, a cozy room, a private spot near water – or simply a space in your mind that is filled with warm, radiant light. It might be a place you remember, but it could be a place in your imagination. It is a place where you feel at home with your Soul. Notice how the air feels vibrant and alive.

As you may know, your Soul contains what we call a blueprint or a model of what you are like when you are a perfectly healthy adult, no matter what age you are. We are going to use our minds to attune to that perfectly healthy YOU now and allow those energies to infuse your body/mind now.

Take a moment to align with your Highest Self – Your Perfect Soul – Your Perfect YOU.

Now, envision yourself as if you are matching that perfect blueprint, so you are already 100 percent healthy!

Your mind and body are restored to their original, natural state of vibrant, radiant wellness.

See yourself standing tall, breathing deeply, every cell of your being pulsing with luminous energy.

Take a moment, and let yourself feel the sensations of being restored to perfect health and happiness.

Your body feels light, strong, and flexible. Breathing is effortless, nourishing you with fresh life.

Muscles and joints move smoothly, free from pain.

There is a profound sense of comfort and being at home within your body. You personify ease and flow with every movement.

As you walk through this healing space, notice sensations of strength and vitality spreading from your core outward. Your mind is clear – thoughts arise crisply, you focus with sharpness and calm. Every part of your being works together perfectly, in joyous harmony.

Next, you feel energy welling up from within—cool, clean, and boundless.

You are brimming with enthusiasm for life, capable of thinking, moving, creating, and experiencing all that you desire.

Every action, whether grand or simple, is accomplished with ease and flow.

Notice your senses! Now, your vision is bright and focused. Your hearing is crystal clear. Your touch is sensitive to the vibrancy of New Life.

Everything around you seems more vivid, more beautiful. Your body, once heavy or tired, now moves with unforced strength, lightness, and joy.

Movement returning to your fingers and toes.
Breathing in new life and excitement.
Eyes opening—returning fully to the world, vibrant, healthy, and alive.

Carry these sensations with you through your day and your life, always remembering how it feels to be fully alive, completely well, and infinitely grateful. The journey to wholeness is yours—now and always.

How You Can Benefit Most from this Self-Healing Meditation!

Research suggests that, on average, it takes about 66 days of consistent repetition for a new behavior or affirmation to become entrained in the subconscious mind and begin to feel automatic. This timeframe can vary depending on the complexity of the habit, the individual, and circumstances—some habits may form in as little as 18 days, while others might take several months.

Key Recommendations for Using this Self-Healing Meditation:

  • Repeat affirmations daily (ideally morning and night) for at least two months for the best results.

  • Consistency is more important than perfection; missing an occasional day does not disrupt the process.

  • For challenging behaviors or deeply rooted beliefs, it may take longer—sometimes up to 3–6 months of continuous practice.
