Nancy’s Services & Products
Services include using holistic healing tools and techniques, conducting business, personal growth, and wellness classes, consulting as a life coach, spiritual counselor, or personal guide, offering hypnotherapy, and more. Most of this is done via her health and wellness website.
As an author and provider of writing and editing services, she also leads individual or group sessions that help people express themselves in writing and public speaking. (That includes one on how to give an effective “Elevator Speech.”) If they desire, she can teach them how to put their results into presentations for publication or posterity.
Products include a very few, carefully chosen items that she uses and “swears by.” She creates pre-recorded or customized HypnoMeditations and sells the original “chi machine.”
In addition, she has authored a play on domestic violence and offers a playbook of true stories about homelessness, addiction, AIDS, and other issues facing people whom she met in a huge shelter in Washington, D.C. Nancy is proud to work with and refer clients to motivational speaker and retired Navy Captain, Jeffrey Sapp, and his wife, Shannon, owner of Signature Designs by SAS.
In compatibility with the mission of Flourishing Beyond Cancer, Nancy’s mission is also to “Advocate, Educate, and Motivate,” BUT NOT TO COOK, as she knows her limitations.
Nancy and My Persuasive Presentations, LLC, are pleased to support efforts to ensure continued funding for cancer research. In addition, Nancy wants to assist people who are experienced with the ravages of cancer – whether as a patient or as a caregiver – with methods for dealing with the physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional stresses.

In other words, both sides of her brain are fully operational!
Her multi-faceted work experience, education, and certifications enable her to assist almost anyone in any circumstance (from the boardroom of international corporations to the streets of Washington, D. C. where she spent much time volunteering with homeless people, some of whom suffered from addictions or terminal illnesses).

Although the titles were different, she functioned as a chief operating officer for many years in “Corporate America,” non-profits, and higher education, as well as state government.
Her responsibilities included managing fiscal, personnel, and emergency operations, as well as administration of police and facilities departments. She has been a grant administrator and an on-site contract compliance officer.
Simultaneously, she obtained many certifications (listed below) and provided wellness, career, personal, and spiritual counseling for people from all walks of life, including those who have experienced homelessness and addiction, as well as those serving on prestigious Boards of Directors and in high-level positions. (Note: there were high-level executives and famous leaders in the shelters, not just uneducated or chronically poor people.) She has lived in many states across America and is an “honorary member” of several majority and minority communities.

My Get Well Guru (holistic healing and meditation classes) and Change Your Life (life coaching) are divisions of My Persuasive Presentations, LLC (MPP), which Nancy owns. MPP provides freelance writing, editing, training, and business/personal consulting services as well as infographics for presenters and event planners to use in conferences, retreats, seminars, and other presentations.

Nancy’s Reiki Master Lineage
Lineage matters to Reiki practitioners. Here is mine. For Reiki I & II in 1991, my lineage is in direct line to the founder of this technique, Dr. Usui. His leadership was followed by Hawayo Takata, to whom Dr. Usui gave responsibility for carrying on the Reiki knowledge and practice. My teacher was John Harvey Gray, who was taught by Hawayo Takata. My Master Attunement was done years later by Ginger.

Nancy’s Comment: Religious fanatics from different faiths are giving religions a horrible reputation these days, so I almost decided not to include the fact that I was ordained long ago.
However, it is that legal status of ordination that enables me to conduct spiritual counseling sessions and to practice hands-on healing techniques, such as Reiki, without my having to be a massage therapist. Of course, it also enables me to conduct marriages and to do other things associated with the license, but my primary use for it relates to guidance and holistic wellness services.
Healing Through the Performing Arts
Nancy assisted homeless people and people with AIDS or addictions by using a variety of holistic wellness techniques, ranging from meditation to Reiki and the use of natural remedies. She did this as Producer/Director of Voices from the Streets and, later, as President/ Writer/ Producer/ and Director of Variety Pack, a non-profit, serving people in Washington, D.C. These folks were homeless, drug-addicted, HIV+, sexually abused, and/or suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Among them were Veterans of various wars.
