A Memorial Day Meditation for People with PTSD After Warfare

A Memorial Day Meditation was inspired by remembrances of those killed in warfare over many years, but also in recognition that the survivors often have PTSD. Thus, it inspired me to create this video for its audio messaging to help people who have PTSD, with emphasis on civilians and military personnel who have been traumatized by war.

I did not include background visuals, music, or other sounds because I don’t know what sights and sounds might be triggers or what kinds of music recipients enjoy. However, a person can play separate selections of sound recordings to accompany this video. Otherwise, it is intended for use by people while they close their eyes in deep concentration on the spoken words.

A Memorial Day Meditation

This Memorial Day Meditation includes a guided exercise to help people release vivid images or memories of traumatic events. It is designed to help folks gain a broader perspective on their lives and their worth by reminding them that they have experiences and have done things other than in warfare. In addition to helping with visualization, I provide my version of the famous “Serenity Prayer” to make it more empowering as a short series of affirmations.

I do hope you will click here to experience this 20-minute Memorial Day Meditation designed to help survivors. It is an introductory little speech, and a meditation to help people overcome PTSD with Compassion and to recognize their inner strength, even when they feel the weakest.

It is posted here on my YouTube channel for long-term reference. Many people have friends with PTSD who could benefit from listening to this video, so I’m asking you to share it with whomever you select as potential beneficiaries.

The only point of this post is to share the meditation to help people with PTSD. You need not read further unless you would like more information about the services I can offer you.

Thank you for any and everything you do in loving care – whenever you do it – to help other people in their time of need.
